As a Lecturer in Odia at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Chiplima, Susmita has been instrumental in shaping young minds and promoting the Odia language. Her commitment to education and literature is truly inspiring.

A prolific writer, Susmita's poems and short stories have been published in several magazines. Her writings are known for their strong social messages, reflecting her deep concern for the welfare of society.
